Glenn J. Kuemerle, D.D.S. remembers as a child sending away for the toothbrush, dental mirror, and little red tablets advertised in the comics. By the time he was in high school, he knew he wanted to be a dentist. After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1988, Dr. Kuemerle practiced in Ravenna, Ohio before coming to Avon Lake Family Dentistry in 1994. A member of the Lorain County Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, and American Dental Association, Dr. Kuemerle has advanced training in Therapy For Intermediate to Advanced TMJ, TMJ Diagnostics And Basic Management, Diagnosis and Treatment Of Masticatory System Problems, Diagnosis And Treatment of Occlusal Problems, and Concepts of Complete Dentistry Series 1, 2, and 3. We met with Dr. Kuemerle recently, and listened as he described the services his practice offers;
Avon Lake Family Dentistry offers a full range of general dentistry services, including fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, veneers, restorations. and other cosmetic procedures. We serve patients of all ages, and our priority is to deliver quality care to informed patients in a comfortable and convenient setting. We treat our patients as if they were family members, and take pride in our staff of highly trained, friendly, caring professionals.
Dentistry is a constantly changing field and we strive to remain up-to-date on new dental materials as well as treatments. Many of my adult patients will ask when they are going to need dentures, but with the recent progress in dental treatments, I am happy to be able to tell them that they may never need dentures. Dentistry has come far since the 1960s and there are so many different treatment options available that even if they have neglected their teeth in the past or suffered an accident, we can usually save the good teeth they have.
Dentistry has come a long way in helping people maintain their overall physical health. Gum disease has been linked to heart disease, as well as to difficulties with pregnancy and low birth weights. Diabetes is another condition that can affect the gums, and likewise the health of the gums also affects diabetes. With frequent dental care and proper oral hygiene, although, a person can enjoy both good dental health and optimal physical health.
Avon Lake Family Dentistry is equipped to handle all your dental needs. Call Avon Lake Family Dentistry today, and don't forget to tell them Avon Lake Business & Living sent you!
