After selling the bar they had successfully run in Lakewood, Ohio for eighteen years, Larry and Darlene Weekman purchased Dan's Delicatessen in Avon Lake. They were awarded a contract to be a State Liquor Agent in the early 1990s, closed the deli, and renamed their business Larry's Avon Lake Carry-Out. We met recently with Larry and Darlene's daughter and partner, Kim Whitler, and listened as she provided this overview of Larry's Avon Lake Carry-Out's products and services;

Larry's Avon Lake Carry-Out is a wholesale and retail distributor of liquor, wine, beer, and beverages. We provide a very friendly atmosphere and feel like our customers are part of our extended family. Our wholesale accounts include nearly forty local bars and restaurants, including Fratello's, Liquid Therapy, Johnny Maloney's, McCarthy's, and Mulligan's. We offer delivery service for our wholesale customers, although many prefer to pick up their order here so they can stop for a moment to visit.

For retail customers planning weddings, showers, graduation parties, anniversaries, and other celebrations, we use our many years of experience in the industry to offer advice on how much and what kind of refreshments they will need. We can price them out several different ways so they are sure to find a solution that fits within their budget. We are also happy to recommend specialty drinks and provide recipes to ensure their party is an overwhelming success.

In addition to selling liquor, wine, beer, and beverages, we also sell lottery tickets. We sold a $20,000.00 Instant Winner the other day, and have sold a Rolling Cash $500,000.00 winning ticket.
