In the early 1980s Gary Randall was building electrical control panels which were each fitted with a metal tag. When Gary became tired of driving all the way from Avon Lake to Cleveland to purchase five dollars worth of metal tags, he purchased a small engraving machine so he could make his own. As local businesses became aware that Gary owned an engraving machine, they began asking if he could handle engraving projects for them. Within three years his engraving business had grown considerably, and Gary founded Custom Engraving & Screenprinting, Inc. in 1987 and moved his company into a commercial storefront. We visited with Gary recently, and listened as he provided this overview of Custom Engraving & Screenprinting's products and services;

Custom Engraving & Screenprinting, Inc. specializes in industrial and commercial engraving, trophies, plaques, awards, screenprinting, and embroidery. Our commercial signage offerings include ADA signage and other engraved signs for office doors, hallways, and practically all commercial purposes. We assemble and engrave trophies and plaques for sports teams, corporate awards, and various organizations in addition to offering complete screenprinting and embroidery services.

In the screenprinting process we supply the clothing and can handle orders ranging from 24 to thousands of pieces at a time. With embroidery, either we can supply the articles to be embroidered or they can be supplied by our customers. We create spirit wear for the Avon and Avon Lake school systems and many local Little League teams, and we supply businesses with embroidered clothing for their employees featuring the company logo and the employees' names.
