Drew Lindsley has dedicated a lifetime to sports conditioning and training. While earning a Silver Medal while participating in the Goodwill Games hosted in St. Petersburg, Russia, Drew was impressed with the facilities he saw. He knew it would be wonderful if Northeast Ohio residents had a similar facility, so he founded Competitive Edge Training Center in Avon Lake in 1995. We visited with Drew recently, and listened as he outlined the services available at Competitive Edge Training Center;
Competitive Edge Training Center is a world class gym focused on providing a wide range of personal training programs. We offer individual, group, and youth programs, along with specialized sports training, long-term fitness, post-rehabilitation, and overall health and fitness training. We also have a pro shop where we offer an excellent selection of all-natural supplements.
We offer everything from weight loss and weight gain training to strength, conditioning, plyometric, agility, and sprint/speed training. We develop customized training programs for amateurs and professionals alike, ranging from children twelve years of age to senior citizens. Whatever your goals, our mission is to assist you in maximizing your competitive edge.
We have a 14,600 square foot facility packed with fitness equipment, treadmills, cycles, free weights, barbells and dumbbells, selectorized equipment, and cardiovascular equipment. We have a 20' by 20' basketball court, and specialized areas for Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, and sport specific performance. Our equipment comes from leading manufacturers, such as Life Fitness, Cybex, Nebula, Ivanko, and York.
The staff at Competitive Edge Training Center is comprised of a diverse group of Certified Trainers, each having distinctly unique qualifications. Their combination of skills enables us to develop specialized programs for any athlete's specific needs.
