Hollie Anzenberger became enamored with horses when she was only eight years old. After graduating from high school, Hollie traveled to England where she earned her Certified Instructor credentials from the the British Horse Society. In 1970 her family purchased a thirty-four acre property in Avon Lake, Ohio where Hollie founded Holly Hill Farm in 1970. We visited with Hollie recently, and listened as she offered this overview of the services Holly Hill Farm provides;

Holly Hill Farm is an equestrian facility specializing in English Hunt Seat Riding. Conveniently located in Avon Lake, Ohio, our farm is a friendly, warm facility where everyone from beginners to seasoned riders can reap the rewards of all that Holly Hill has to offer. We feature wooded and open riding trails, an indoor arena, a large outdoor limestone riding arena with jumping area, sand arena, turn-out paddocks, comfortable boarding facilities, a heated observation room, all newly finished tackroom and lockers, and a talented group of horses for schooling, leasing, and showing. In addition, we offer a variety of lessons and horses to meet your individual needs, skill level, and riding goals. We also offer leasing opportunities which are the first step in learning the true responsibilities of horse ownership.

Horse sports are well known for fostering responsibility, independence, and self esteem. Our group and private lessons are designed for students of all riding levels, and emphasize horsemanship and care of the horse while focusing on safety and quality instruction. Every new student participates in a starter program where they learn the principles of safety, horse care, grooming, tacking, and the basic skills needed while riding the horse. In our group lessons, you will be placed in a riding class with students of similar riding ability where the lessons are personalized to each riders' goals with a focus on positive coaching, safety, and success.

Each year Holly Hill Farm hosts a Summer Camp as a fun and educational way to learn about horses. Each session runs daily for a full week from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Summer Camp attendees ride every day, attend lectures, learn daily horse care, bathing, tack cleaning, and stable management. We have movies, crafts, and horse trivia, and everyone has a lot of fun while improving their equestrian skills.
